Hello! I'm Paige, and this is my blog. I'm doing the one thing that I've wanted to do since I started high school.
I'm studying abroad!
But with such an amazing opportunity comes the five oh wows and whoas of studying abroad. Here they are.
1. Oh wow!
Making new friends.
I'm really lucky that everyone in CBYX is so nice, fun, and totally awesome. I've never had more fun than I did at the onsite orientation. It was amazing to be in a room filled with people who were also passionate about studying abroad but who were all so interesting and different too.
2. Oh wow!
Supportive family and friends.
I think I'm really lucky to say I have the best friends and family in the world. They've all been so supportive though the application process and haven't stopped being an unwavering supporting group. From the English to German dictionaries to the going away presents from my friends, I know I'll never be able to thank them enough for all the support they've given me.
3. Oh wow!
A dream come true.
Ever since I started high school, I dreamed of setting off to go abroad. I wanted to journey away from my friends and family and learn about a whole new culture and country. Speaking of a new culture and country, that brings me to number four.
4. Oh wow!
A new language.
I've always wanted to learn German. Something about it sounded...awesome. I just do.
5. Whoa!
Packing.
What can I say? If I could, I'd bring everything in my room in a suitcase. I'd back everything, and I mean everything. Clothes, posters, even my fish, Will. I'd pack it all. But I can't, so I'll need to figure something out before I leave. Well, at least my mom can help.
